The Organization

YogaLife Global, previously known as Ujjain Yoga Life Society or UYLS, was founded in 1996 by Pundit Radheshyam Mishra (Guru Ji). It is a renowned non-profit organisation that is committed to promoting the practice and ideals of Indian Classical Yoga on a global scale. With a foundation in ancient knowledge but adapted for contemporary individuals, we promote the practice of Yoga through extensive education, groundbreaking investigation, and enlightening publications.

We are eligible for tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act of India and have been recognised by the Ministry of Home, Government of India under the Foreign Currency Regulation Act. We appreciate and accept donations from individuals worldwide. We have a presence in the USA as YogaLife USA Inc., which is a non-profit organisation registered under 501(c), and in Brazil as YogaLife Ashram Brasil. Our teaching technique integrates scientific rigour with a modern approach, ensuring that Yoga is easily understandable and applicable in today’s society.

The core of YogaLife Global is centred around the goal of cultivating a Yogic way of life that supports personal development and elevates each person. We prioritise Yoga not just as a kind of physical exercise, but also as a comprehensive approach to life, a therapeutic instrument, and a means to achieve inner well-being.

Our founder, Guru Ji, Pundit Mishra, who is widely recognised and respected worldwide, began his career as a teacher in the early 1990s. He is a notable graduate of The Yoga Institute in Santacruz, Mumbai, and has developed a distinctive combination of Classical Yoga with contemporary elements. Currently, this unique method is used by a large number of people around the world, with more than 5,500 officially recognised instructors in 56 different countries.

The story of our expedition

YogaLife Global was established in 1996 with its main centre situated in Indore Madhya Pradesh, Central India. In 2012, we established our presence in the United States by founding YogaLife USA Inc. in Rockville, MD. Subsequently, we opened other facilities in New Jersey and California. Our worldwide community today includes thousands of disciples of Guru Ji who are spreading the wisdom of Yoga over the globe. They are backed by more than 550 associated centres. We have successfully created our campuses in Brazil, known as “Yogalife Ashram Brasil,” located in Terra de Areia near Porto Alegre, and in India, known as “Satyadhara Yogalife Ashram,” situated in Choral village near Indore.

YogaLife Global has gained worldwide recognition due to its commitment to preserving and promoting Classical Yoga in its original and genuine state. We have successfully hosted prestigious International Yoga Seminars in the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2016, earning widespread admiration and acknowledgement on a global scale. Within a relatively brief timeframe, we have implemented a multitude of programmes, establishing ourselves as a prominent Yoga institution on a global scale.

Certifications we hold

The Yoga training and research centre we are affiliated with has obtained accreditation from prestigious organisations such as The Yoga Institute Mumbai, Yoga Alliance USA, Indian Yoga Association, and the International Yoga Federation. Our training programmes encompass a variety of courses, such as the 200 & 500-hour Teachers Training courses, to guarantee that our teachings maintain the utmost level of authenticity and excellence.

Historical Timeline

1995: Foundations of Yogalife

*Initial Vision*: Dr. Radheshyam Mishra (Guru Ji) begins to formulate the vision for Yogalife Global, rooted in the teachings of Paramhans Madhavdas Ji and Indian Classical Yoga.

1996: Establishment of Yogalife Global

*Official Formation*: Yogalife Global is formally established as a non-profit organization with the mission to spread the practice and philosophy of yoga worldwide.

2000: First International Yoga Conference

*Event*: Yogalife Global hosts its first International Yoga Conference, attracting participants from around the world, fostering global connections within the yoga community.

2005: Launch of International Yoga Teacher Training

*Milestone*: The first 200-hour International Yoga Teacher Training Course is launched, offering certification and training for aspiring yoga instructors.

2010: Expansion to Brazil

*Yogalife Ashram Brazil*: Establishment of the first Yogalife Ashram outside India, located in Brazil, offering local and international yoga programs and retreats.

2014: International Yoga Camps

*Growth*: Yogalife starts organizing international yoga camps in Europe, focusing on deepening practitioners' understanding of traditional Indian yoga.

2016: Major Yoga Conferences

*Milestone Event*: Yogalife Global hosts large-scale international yoga conferences, bringing together yoga masters, students, and enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds.

2020: Opening of Satyadhara Yogalife Ashram, India

*New Facility*: Launch of the Satyadhara Yogalife Ashram near Indore, India. The ashram offers yoga retreats, teacher training, and Ayurveda therapy programs in a serene natural setting.

2022: Online Teacher Training and Virtual Programs
