Hansa Yogendra (born 8 October 1947) is an Indian yoga guru, author, researcher, and TV personality. She is the director of The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, the world’s oldest organized yoga center, founded in 1918 by Shri Yogendra. In the 1980s, she hosted "Yoga for Better Living" on DD National. She chairs the Yoga Certification Committee for the Quality Council of India and is President of the International Board of Yoga, as well as Vice President of the Indian Yoga Association.
Andrew began practicing yoga at 11 and, at 24, stayed in a Himalayan monastery. He traveled across India, learning classical yoga and tantric teachings from various masters. After meeting Kashmiri Babu, an ascetic of the Shaiva tradition, he underwent deep study. For 15 years, Andrew has taught globally and now oversees yoga centers in France, India, and seven other countries.
D.R. Kaarthikeyan, born in Devarayapuram, Tamil Nadu, earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Agriculture from Annamalai University. After working in agriculture and law, he obtained a law degree from Madras Law College and joined the Bar Council of Madras. In 1964, he entered the Indian Police Service (IPS) after passing the Senior Civil Services exam, undergoing extensive training at the National Police Academy in Mount Abu.
